found the lost car

Continuing the lost car episode, it was found near my office itself and the joke was the old man forgot where he had parked and went in search at all places.

Police found the car parked in another lane to my office and the old man and his family had to pay out of pocket expenses amounting to 15k and also had to spend a day in court to get the possession of the vehicle.

What an anti climax to the whole episode

Lost car

Yesterday a old man of 70 years, who is my client had come to my office to see me and discss about his Company. He cam in his Honda Civic at 12.00 Noon. We completed our meeting at 1.15 P M. When he went back to the place where he had parked his car, it had just disappeared in thin air. Initially we thought it must have been picked up by the traffic guys for wrong parking and when they pick up such a car, they leave a chalk mark, but this mark was also missing.
On frantic searching at all places, we reached the Police Station to lodge a Complaint. the police man was absolutely disinterested in accpeting a complaint. After cajoling and coaxing he started writing the FIR. We insisted that the loss of car to be reported to the control room, but their rule says that till the time the FIR is not made, they cannot inform the control room to beam the message.
The process of FIR took upto 3.30 P M and then the information was passed. In rough estimate the thief would have crossed pune or Nashik, during this period.
My client is banking on Insurance and I am feeling so bad of he losing his car worth 14 lacs, while coming to see me. Generally this part of suburb is relatively crime free and it is surprising to know that a big car was stolen in broad day light
